Welcome to Environment Tobago |

There's a lot of concern being voiced about the state of the envirornment across the planet however not much positive action is coming from the average citizen In Tobago it's more or less the same. The persons who have the most to gain from a clean, green, safe and serene island make the least effort to keep it so.
It's a shame really, since the natural assets we take for granted are indeed wonders of the world, a boon bestowed on us by mother nature and one which is all too fragile at that. It's not that we can afford to be careless with it since the fallout of bad ecological practices impact on all living things across the world, and into the future.
Nature at work Environment Tobago sees education in conservation and sustainability as its biggest role. This eco-NGO wants to change present attitudes of the way things are approached ... and its using this web as one tool in a multi-faceted approach. The motto we carry says it all - Environment TOBAGO conserves Tobago's natural and living resources and advances the knowledge and understanding of such resources, their wise and sustainable use, and their essential relationship to human health and the quality of life. |
