The sweetest sound is silence

In the last decade, a period coinciding with Trinidad and Tobago’s extended dip into economic recession, Tobago’s tourism has veered toward the entertainment niche. Not to say the sun sea and sand product has disappeared but the parties - and the willingness of the THA to facilitate partying, has foisted a level of noise (no other word will suffice) unto this space.

Today, from experience, we live in dread of; rainforest night races (pegged to good causes of course), day and dusk fetes at once idyllic No Man’s Land and Pigeon Point, with copycat events in Bloody Bay, Castara and scenic Charlotteville.
