The following text is verbatim IMA Marin: “After months of high heat stress, which resulted in mass coral bleaching, sea temperatures are cooling. Trinidad and Tobago has been downgraded to a Bleaching Watch. This level indicates low level heat stress is present and it is expected to last for the next 5 to 8 weeks.
During this time there can be some coral recovery. However, corals are still under severe stress and are highly susceptible to disease.”
